Pokhara -within the mountain areas
Pokhara is considered one of nature wonders. It is indeed Nepal center of adventure. The serenity of Phewa Lake and the magnificence of the fishtailed summit of Machhapuchhre (6,977m) rising behind it, create an ambience of peace and magic. From an altitude of 827 meters above the sea level, Pokhara offers a unique point of view on Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre, and five other peaks of Annapurna.

Crystal clear lakes, turbulent rivers with deep gorges and picturesque villages inhabited by friendly ethnic groups, add to the beauty of Pokhara. This is the land of Mangars and Gurungs, hard working farmers and brave warriors, who earned the worldwide fame of Gorkha soldiers. The Thakalis, another important ethnic group in the area, are known as industrious people.

Besides sight seeing, Pokhara offers adventurous sports like trekking, swimming, boating and fishing in its fine lakes with crystal clear waters. It is situated 200 km west of Kathmandu and from there it takes six hours by bus.

Chitwan - within the plains (Terai region)
The main attraction of Chitwan is the Royal Chitwan National Park.
